How should I prepare for my massage?

We would advise having a hot shower or bath before your massage. This can help you to relax your muscles before treatment begins and may also help improve muscle recovery after the massage.

Your therapist will provide everything for your massage treatment, including a massage table, towels and a selection of essential oils.

What should I wear to my massage?

Thai traditional massage: You remain fully clothes for this type of massage.

Aromatherapy Thai massage: We recommend that you undress to your underwear for the treatment or simply to a level you are comfortable with. Please note, it is required that underwear is worn throughout all treatments.

On arrival, your massage therapist will prepare the bed and oils and then they will step outside so you can get undressed in privacy. At the end of the treatment, your therapist will leave the room to allow you to get up at your own pace and get dressed.

Do you massage men?

Yes.

Massage aftercare advice

After enjoying any massage, it is perfectly normal to experience any of the following, but these should not last more than 24-48 hours following your treatment:

  • Feeling tired or having increased energy

  • Cold like symptoms

  • Localised tenderness, aching or soreness in muscles

  • Headaches or dizziness

The number one thing we recommend is drinking plenty of water or herbal teas to flush out any toxins and rehydrate.  There are some things we recommend to avoid following treatment:

  • Avoid eating a large meal straight afterwards.

  • Avoid consuming alcohol and caffeine for 12 hours.

  • Avoid strenuous exercise. Gentle stretching can help if you have tension.
